Our Service Packages

Woodlea offers TWO types of unique service packages that are tailored around individualised care needs:

  1. Extra Care Service
  2. Supported Service

Which package is best for me?

Before this can be decided, risk assessments and a full pre-admission assessment of needs are completed in liaison with the Service User and/or anyone else they wish to be involved such as family, friend or advocate. It will be at this point that the Service User will be assessed as to which level of service they will require.

Extra Care Service

The Extra Care Service offers additional support to Service Users who are unable to shop, prepare, and cook for themselves.  This option encourages Service Users to participate in a weekly menu planning meeting and thereafter the food is purchased in bulk on behalf of the service user and meals are prepared by staff members, wherever possible the Service User is encouraged to participate.

Main meals are served in the communal dining room, drinks and snacks are available 24 hours per day. However should any Service User prefer to eat on alone this will be supported.

Supported Service

The Supported Service is for those Service Users that are more active and independent, that require a small amount of support. The Service User will purchase their own food/beverages and subsequently maintain their own nutritional needs. We have a fully equipped rehabilitation kitchen where staff can support with meal planning/budgeting/shopping and cooking, however this will all depend on the person’s assessed needs.

Whatever service is selected, our main emphasis is on helping our Service Users to reach their maximum potential.
